The Taste of Mecosta Seeks Vendors!

The Mecosta County Area Chamber of Commerce and the Taste of Mecosta Committee are pleased to announce the 11th Annual Taste of Mecosta event.  This year, our theme is South of the Border. Bring friends and family to the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center (1005 Perry Ave, Big Rapids) on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. as local restaurants give you a “taste” of what our community has to offer. There truly is something for everyone at this fun-filled event! Proceeds from this event go toward Leadership Mecosta scholarships!

Tickets are $10 in advanced, $15 at the door, $5 ages 3-8 and for ages 2 and under it’s free! Tickets can be purchased online here, or by contacting your Chamber. 

We encourage all types of Mecosta County restaurants and caterers to join us for this event. It is absolutely free to participate but reserve your spot soon as space is limited!

Understanding Healthcare Reform: Beyond the Politics

The goal of this lecture series is to offer opportunity for increased health literacy through a heightened understanding and awareness of the complexity of healthcare reform as viewed through a healthcare lens. Changes in health policy, such as the Affordable Care Act and its impact on healthcare services and delivery, demonstrate the need for improved healthcare literacy allowing patients and practitioners to have the skills and knowledge required to navigate a complex system and optimize health of the individual and the community.
