The Ferris State University Mini MBA is a management and executive development program that aligns participants around the common language and analytical tools of business. The courses are presented in an abbreviated format and are designed to provide you with a clear understanding of financial objectives and measurement metrics. The program will also enhance your business acumen skills in a variety of disciplines, including business savvy, financial literacy, strategy formulation and implementation, and critical thinking skills. These skills will lay the groundwork that will help you make smarter decisions that will favorably impact your organization’s productivity and profitability.
The Mini MBA will be rolled out over a nine-week time period, beginning September 15, 2015. Concurrent with specific topics, participants will be engaged in running a fictitious business by way of a computerized simulation program. This simulation will be a 20 minute component of each class session and will serve as a common thread that will bring each distinct class session into a harmonious compliment. Participants will be assigned into teams of approximately four to run this business. The time between each session will allow teams to revisit their strategy and their decisions. It will also provide participants an opportunity to engage in special learning and application of salient issues presented at each session.
