  • Testimonials

'We thoroughly enjoyed Leadership Mecosta. The program made us aware of many of the challenges and opportunities facing Big Rapids and Mecosta County. With the knowledge and skills acquired through Leadership Mecosta we are now in a much better position to contribute in a more meaningful way to the future of Mecosta County.'

    Honorable Judge Scott Hill-Kennedy
    49th Circuit Court

“I benefited from Leadership Mecosta by interacting with other community leaders, meeting new friends and networking.  I learned more about their organizations and operations, and my eyes were opened to the growth in the county and the diverse businesses, farms, and organizations I visited.  I have lived here all my life and thought I knew Mecosta County well.  I was wrong.  There’s so much going on in our county that I wasn’t aware of.”

    Julie Tetsworth
City of Big Rapids Finance Officer

'Leadership Mecosta has been a very enjoyable, informative and valuable experience for me that I would recommend to anyone who has a vision to better know how to make a positive impact in our county for now and into the future.'

    John C. Milan
    Preferred Office Machines

'Leadership Mecosta has been a truly valuable experience for me in helping build liaisons between the public and private sector and revealing resources available in our community at the county-wide level.'

    Frank E. West, Director
Big Rapids Department of Public Safety
