Come enjoy an evening of exploration on Michigan's Back Roads with Ron Rademacher, and take a road trip across Michigan to more than a dozen destinations that most people have missed. Discover the underground rathskellar in the Irish Hills, the gravity mystery in Frankfort, the Monarch Butterfly Migration, Lady Godiva in Michigan and more. Ron's back roads adventure began while working the arts and crafts fair circuit showing his rustic furniture designs. Taking back roads to the shows, he began to discover destinations, natural wonders and attractions that were often overlooked. After hearing his stories about what he was finding, friends suggested he start writing it all down and the idea for Michigan Back Roads was born. Rademacher’s website, michiganbackroads.com, was launched in 1999 and his first book was published in 2008. Ron has lots of interesting stories and facts to share about our beautiful state of Michigan. There are now five books in print describing out of the way places, oddities and rarities, fun getaways and the best kept secrets in Michigan. There will be time for questions and a selection of his books for you to look over following the presentation.
