    Name: Musical Instrument Petting Zoo
    Date: February 24, 2019
    Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EST
    Event Description:
What kind of zoo has no animals but can be more fun? An Instrument Zoo! The Musical Instrument Petting Zoo is a fun and educational opportunity for people of all ages to explore the wonderful world of music. Have you ever wanted to play a saxophone with a jazz band? Or maybe play lead trumpet in a pep band? Perhaps try crashing cymbals? This is a great chance to try these exciting instruments and many others. There will be multiple musical instrument stations ranging from woodwinds and brass to percussion and strings. Ferris student musicians from the Kappa Kappa Psi Band Fraternity will be at each station to provide information about the various instruments and help participants try them out.
Kappa Kappa Psi is a National Honorary Band Fraternity, which consists of student members of the various Ferris State University bands and orchestra. The mission of this coeducational band fraternity is to help encourage band and music education. It also aims to help develop a passion for music, promote leadership, and foster brotherhood. Kappa Kappa Psi has assisted with Instrument Zoos at local elementary schools to help promote music within the communities.
